I've been dancing all types of dances since I was a kid, but I never had the opportunity or time to pursue my interest in ballroom dance until now. When I first started coming to the studio I thought it would be something to do to relieve the daily stress of my job as a nurse once in a while. I'm glad that dancing has become a regular part of my life again. Everyone at Dance With Me is so welcoming and all of the instructors are so talented. I'm constantly pushed out of my comfort zone in the best way and I feel so much more confident in myself. Competing in the Fall Classic was a great experience and I'm looking forwards to what's next!!!

My instructor, Andrea Marletta, is a caring, talented person and he taught me so much during the time we have been together. The Young At Heart showcase was an amazing experience . I came to the "Dance With Me" studio with intentions solely of getting my daughter and husband(father and daughter) dance lessons for her "Sweet 16". I was approached by a very nice gentleman by the name of Ralph, he introduced himself and informed me that he was the manager, he asked me if I wished to take a 30 minute free lesson, while my family was being evaluated by their instructor Sasha. Well the rest is history, I immediately fell in love with the lessons, my instructor and the entire staff of Dance With Me. They have helped me with weight loss, strengthen what was a very bad back and also helping me develop and find my personality again. I attended my first competition which was in the fall and it reassured me that I had found a new passion. I am now in the process of being trained for the next Dance With Me event! "Dance With Me" is run like a family. Everyone is extremely friendly and caring. The staff is very professional and the instructors are very talented in their own right as well as in a teaching capacity. I look forward to my lessons, both private and group. My instructor gives 110% of himself in every class to all his students. Showcases are presented every 3 to 4 months. I particularly enjoy the process of creating the choreography, as well as creating the costumes. It's exciting to perform our routines on stage or a cabaret setting. Working with famous chorographers is a sounding experience. The competitions sponsored by the studios have been well organized and in beautiful venues. We got to enjoy a lovely dinner and a fabulous show with famous professionals and celebrities. In summary, I have met many wonderful people in the studio who have become good friends. I Truly enjoy my experience at "Dance With Me".

Dancing has always been a passion of mine, but as most of know when we get older, responsibilities and work tend to inhibit us from dropping everything just to do something just for fun. I recently however, received one of the best birthday presents I can think of and that was some private lessons at DWM NJ. Paired with one of the most talented, genuine, patient and kind teachers, Carlos Taylor has reinvigorated my passion of dance and I now make it a point to dance with him as many times a week as possible. Thanks to Carlos and the entire staff, after 3 months of learning all types of dances I never knew I wanted to learn I just completed my first ever dance competition. The endless support and family atmosphere in the studio, both staff and students alike make this studio top notch. Last year my husband decided to sign us up for the introductory dance package because he knew how much I have always loved dancing. Well, after two lessons he became a drop-out. Because of the telephone calls I received from the studio saying we had these unused lessons, I decided to finish taking the package. Once I was in the studio, I realized how much I adored dancing. That was last April.

I was introduced to Aleksandar Vukosavljevic - the best instructor and partner for me. I am addicted. We now have several first place wins in the Smooth categories and several second place wins in the Rhythm and Latin categories (which we are planning to win in the near future). I love dancing and my joy is apparent to all those who know me. I love the challenge of improving my dancing. Thanks go to Aleksandar, Clyde and the entire staff for pushing me.

When I first walked into DWM SoHo first thing I noticed was the decor. Really stunning. Right after that was the front desk. The receptionist's are just amazing. They greet you which such warmth and kindness you truly feel welcome and they definitely broke my initial nervousness on my first day there. The teaching staff is extremely friendly. And you can feel the camaraderie among them by just watching their interactions on the floor. My intro lesson flew by so fast. We really started from the basics like walking back and forth. Trying out the different styles was really so fun, the instructor put me at ease. All of the above mentioned made me stay and take more lessons. Slowly I became a regular and I don't regret it. All the instructors are skilled and trained by the best professionals in the field and they practice daily to better their dancing as well as teaching skills. They LOVE what they do and you can feel it. They know how intimidating the ballroom can seem to a non-dancer so they try always to make it a fun learning experience. Manager of the studio, a former competitor himself, is an extremely pleasant person. He's not hiding in an office, behind the closed doors. You can find him sitting right next to the front desk, eyes always on the floor or walking around the room and observing the lessons, giving advices etc. The atmosphere in the studio is one of a family where everyone talks to everyone and everyone helps everyone out. Family bonded by the love of dance.

I never danced or even liked dancing until I started dancing at Dance w Me SoHo. After my first lesson I was hooked, and still am. When I started I was 6 months into recovering from major back surgery as a result from a car accident. Now 2 year later I feel amazing and I owe it all to dancing and the supportive people at the studio. All my teachers have been and still are so encouraging, patient and nurturing. I would never think I'd be capable of doing what I'm able to do today! Besides physically, dancing has definitely helped me come out of my shell. I had been dancing at another studio but nothing could compare to the feeling I had from the moment I stepped into this studio. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient. Each lesson guide is prepared especially for your needs and wants. If given the opportunity you can dance with any of the other instructors and feel just as comfortable. In the short time that I have been involved with Dance With Me Soho, I have participated in activities I had never even dreamed possible. For example, I performed a dance routine in front of an audience of hundreds of people (including my very proud mother) at the Manhattan Center on West 34th Street as part of a dynamic student showcase entitled Ballroom on Broadway. I have also competed in several dance competitions, and even won a few medals! My instructor, Teresa, has been my greatest source of inspiration. She is an amazing teacher who explains technique and patterns in such a way that I understand them in my mind as well as my body. Initially, I was only interested in learning salsa. Today, however, I am studying no less than eight dances, including the waltz, tango, fox trot and merengue. For so many reasons, I am grateful for having found Dance With Me Soho. This studio has been a source of great inspiration and fulfillment, and has served as a joyful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of a sometimes-callous New York.
